Collection Tips for Kensington & Chelsea

Helpful information to ensure a smooth same-day collection in your area.

Residents' Parking

Kensington & Chelsea has extensive residents' parking. Our crews use loading bays and work within permitted stopping times. Early morning collections are most efficient.

Basement & Garden Flat Access

Many properties have area steps leading to lower floors. Mention basement access when booking so we bring appropriate carrying equipment.

Portobello Market

Saturday is the main market day on Portobello Road. For collections in Notting Hill, weekday mornings or Sunday offer the best vehicle access.

Building Protocols

Mansion blocks often restrict collection times to weekday working hours. Check with your porter and let us know any building-specific requirements.

Clearing a Building Job in Kensington & Chelsea?

Rubble, broken tiles, plasterboard and timber are priced by weight rather than by the load, and they need a different vehicle from a normal same-day collection. If your clearance is mostly construction material, start there instead – the quote will be more accurate and usually cheaper.
