Scrap metal is awkward for many businesses to deal with. It is often very heavy and hard to store, so for companies that produce a lot of it, getting rid of it properly is a recurring problem. Wherever metal is used in manufacturing, there will always be some offcuts and scrap.
Scrap metal can be worth money even in small amounts, and in larger quantities its value can be significant. Recycled metal is a large and established market in the UK.
With a large pile of scrap, it can be hard to tell which metals are in it. You don't need to sort it or separate ferrous from non-ferrous metal to find the most valuable pieces – our collection team does that for you.
We keep scrap metal collection simple. First, a member of our team visits you for a one-off site assessment.
This lets us understand exactly what you need and plan the right collection for your company. After that, you can leave the rest to us: our trained team collects your scrap metal on a schedule that suits your business, so you can concentrate on your own work.
Before you book any waste removal company, check that it will take all of your metal waste. A cheap quote is sometimes cheap because the heaviest, bulkiest items have been left out.
Heavy machinery, bulky equipment that is hard to move, and old manufacturing or industrial equipment are often the items left behind, because they take too much effort to shift. We take them too.
For a no-obligation quote, send us a photo of your scrap metal or give us a call. Larger quantities can be priced with a quick site visit, and the price is fixed before we arrive.
What we collect:
Some businesses separate their different metals and keep them in separate containers until collection. Most of the time this doesn't happen, and the metal is sorted at the scrapyard instead. Automated recycling lines often use magnets and sensors to help with the sorting.
Next, the metal is shredded and melted. It is then purified, so the recycled metal is high quality and free of contamination, and left to solidify. Conveyor belts carry the metal away as it cools and sets.
Any London Waste always disposes of your scrap metal responsibly and with care for the environment, while keeping the job quick and economical. These are the basic principles of our work.
Whatever the amount of metal you have, we offer a scrap metal collection in London that is both cost-effective and ethical.
